How Can I Help?

Whether you are adding a new family member (human or non-human), struggling with decisions regarding healthcare or euthanasia of your beloved animal companion, or considering burial, cremation, funeral services and/or blessing rituals, as an Animal Chaplain I am here for you.

  • Illness/End of Life Services

When you have difficult healthcare decisions involving your animal companion, I am here to help. I will support you in your decision-making process. If the result is euthanasia I will be there for you and your animal companion throughout the entire process - even sitting with you/or being with your animal companion if you cannot during the euthanasia procedure.

After an animal companion dies I can provide not only grief support, but also help plan and conduct a funeral or memorial service, as well as doing blessings and attending the body before burial or cremation.

Finally, I can assist you in creating and maintaining a “continuing bond” with your beloved companion.

  • New Beginnings

Sometimes adopting a new animal companion can be a stressful time, especially if there are other animals and/or young children in the household. I can help with this adjustment, and can even perform “Welcoming Blessings” or rituals.

Behavior problems and education about family dynamics can also be addressed.

  • Roadside and Mobile Blessings

Part of my ministry is conducting blessings for unfortunate creatures that have been hit by cars or met their demise in some other way, but don’t have a human family to grieve them.
